PROJECT OVERVIEW

In view of accomplishing the objectives of restoration and conservation of the museum heritage collections, "ASTRA" Museum has applied for external non reimbursable funds to support the adequate valorification of the national cultural heritage managed by ASTRA Museum of Traditional Folk Civilization from Dumbrava Sibiului.

EEA Financial Mechanism is a program financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to support programs that contribute to economic and social cohesion. "ASTRA" Museum`s contribution, with the direct financial support of Sibiu County Council, is of 15.58 %.

[February 26, 2010] A CNM ASTRA delegation undertook a study visit to several museums in Norway during 15th – 21st of February.

[February 1st, 2010] The reconstruction of the four ethnographic monuments which has started during the first year of the project implementation is being brought to an end.
